Regardless of the monitoring frequency you have chosen, once an error is detected on your website, SiteAlarm will begin monitoring your web site every minute until the website is back up again.

This allows us to determine the actual downtime. Other systems continue to monitor with the same frequency, whether or not errors have occurred.

So an actual downtime of 2 minutes may show to be a downtime of 30 minutes, rendering an uptime of 97%, versus the actual uptime of 99% rendered with SiteAlarm.
